I have lived in Silver City, New Mexico, for the past 24 years, after my live/work studio in San Diego became a ballpark. Most of my adult life was spent in Southern California and I was fortunate enough to support my early art habit as a professional costumer, working primarily as a pattern maker and dresser for San Diego Opera Company and other Broadway touring companies. When I left San Diego for New Mexico I became a full-time, self employed studio artist creating ceramic mosaic objects and large scale outdoor sculpture. All of my work, which now spans several mediums, is inspired by my career in theater arts, and interest in the decorative arts.. A predominant theme is often humor or irony. It seems to me that a sense of humor is the last and often best, resort to living my Life, at least most of the time. As I now look at the latter part of my life, every day there is something to draw. Small stories. This what I am doing now, but please take a look at what I did.
